形態特徵
- Evergreen trees to 20 m tall and 1 m in diameter; bark grayish, shallowly longitudinally furrowed; branchlets glabrous.
- Leaves obovate-elliptic or oblanceolate, 5-10 cm long, 2-2.5 cm broad, apex obtuse or rounded, base narrow-cuneate, glabrous on both sides, entire or serrate above the middle; petioles 0.2-1 cm long.
- Staminate inflorescences solitary or several tuffed in axils of leaves, 1-3 cm long; staminate flowers with 4-6 stamens. Pistillate inflorescences solitary, axillary, 0.5-1.5 cm long.
- Drupe reddish, succulent, spherical, 1.4-2 cm in diameter.
分布
- 台灣 : in thickets and forests at low elevations (300-1,500 m) throughout the island.
- 世界 : South China, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines.
